Hopefully some of you have played Battlefield games before on PC and know how good it is. Well, it's coming to consoles in a month and if you preorder it you can get a free online demo.
I have had the demo for about a month now, and no joke, this DEMO is beyond better than most complete games.
You get to play online with the choice of only 1 map with up to 24 other people in the game and it's amazingly fun. I went out and bought a network adaptor($40) and a microphone headset($30) entirely for this one small portion of what will be the final product. I can only imagine how addicted I'll be to it once it's released.
I kid you not, I picked up and played Halo 2 earlier today with a couple of friends and actually started to realize that BF2 has made me lose almost all interest in Halo. I'd almost rather play BF2 online with 23 other strangers than sit next to my own friends while we play last year's game of the year.
AND IT'S JUST AN F'ING DEMO.
If anyone's interested and get's the demo or the final game(for PS2), let me know and we can exchange gamertags and whatnot and find each other online and...(wait for it)... in the battlefield!

Ok HB breaking the dead silence in the boards is just hilarious to me.
Anyway, I haven't played Battlefield (or Halo for that matter) but I hear really good things about it. I wouldn't mind getting it when I buy my own game console but since it is only for Playstation that ain't gonna happen (Nintendo Revolution behbeh!)

Somebody had to do it.
And who knows. It might come to the Revolution. I mean, nothing that I know of has officially been announced for it yet outside Zelda or Mario anyway.
A lot of developers might be a bit scared off by that... umm, thing you hold to play the games though.

And I doubt that will be the case considering about 20 developers jizzed themselves after seeing the contoller demo at the Japan expo. A lot of the bigger developers were gushing over the controller, so I don't think it will be the case where the developers are scared off (unless you look at the companies that can't make games as it is, then yeah... they're scared)

I can't really see the controller driving away developers. Considering it will have an adapter to make it like all the normal controlers. If anything, like Cripp said, it brought in more developers to be more creative.
